Trayce Jackson-Davis

The second straight Indiana Mr. Basketball that Archie Miller has been able to bring into the Indiana Basketball has massive pro potential to go along with his NBA pedigree. His father, Dale Davis, was an NBA big man himself, most notably for his tenure with the Indiana Pacers.

Jackson-Davis comes to Indiana as a 6-foot-9 forward listed at 230 pounds, which is great size for his age. However, he would be undersized as a center in the NBA and would likely need to sharpen his overall skill set to become a power forward at the next level, expanding his perimeter game for any hopes of NBA success.

With great hands and rebounding ability, Jackson-Davis spends most of his time on the block and around the paint at this point in his career. The lefty has improved on his handle over the last year, but still has a long way to go to be a consistent threat as a ball handler.

His ability to run the floor and get out in transition is another part of his game that he uses to his advantage.

By showing potential in his perimeter game and abilities, NBA scouts would praise his upside and some NBA executives would more than likely be willing to take the chance on the young front court player.

While his physical profile may be one of his best assets, his ability to finish around the rim and run the floor for his size also are impressive for the young big man. Despite finishing near the basket with his off-hand needing some work, his motor and strong hand finishing ability are advanced for this stage and are a solid building block for his game.
