Cameron Williams

Another in-state four star recruit out of Merrillville, Indiana, the 6-foot-3, 210 pound freshman comes to IU with ideal and prototypical size for an outside linebacker.

With a knack for the ball, Cameron Williams led the state of Indiana in sacks his senior year of high school, with 15 in just 11 games.

A combination of great speed and strength puts offenses in a tough spot as he can get past an offensive lineman with ease, but also overpower a running back as well.

With only eight returning players listed at the linebacker position, Williams is entering a situation that could see him receive many snaps early on if he can prove himself as a freshman and if injuries begin to diminish the linebackers core.

He joins a linebacker group that is relatively young as well, most being either returning sophomores or redshirt freshmen.
