Indiana Basketball: New developments with 2019 guard Lester Quinones
One of the last recruits that Indiana basketball is in the mix for has had some recent developments as of late.
2019 guard Lester Quinones‘ announcement is coming up and there have been some interesting developments for Indiana basketball as they stand in his recruitment.
Quinones, ranked no. 61 overall in the 247 Composite rankings, is one of the few remaining top 100 class of 2019 prospects who are uncommitted.
The Hoosiers have been in the running for Quinones ever since the season ended, competing with Memphis, LSU, Maryland, and Michigan for his services. Recently, it has come to light that Quinones’ recruitment has really come down to two schools: Memphis and Indiana.
Recently having his official visit to Indiana, he was impressed by what he saw so much so that he essentially moved the Hoosiers into his top two favorites.
With this news, comes even more developments that Archie Miller will also make an in-home visit with the four-star guard this Thursday, May 2, per Inside the Hall.
Indiana’s recruitment of Quinones may have also received a boost today, with top 10 guard R.J. Hampton reclassifying from the class of 2020 to the class of 2019. Memphis is in Hampton’s top five, and he is expected to visit with the Tigers in early May.
With his good size at 6-foot-5 and a phenomenal shooting stroke, Lester Quinones could prove to be an important piece to this Indiana team, should he commit.
It is clear the coaching staff is making a big late push to influence his commitment.
Quinones is set to make his decision on May 10.
