Semi Final:

If the Hoosiers can make a miraculous run in the second round against Ohio State and then the quarters’ versus Michigan State, they will be slated to match up against either Maryland or Wisconsin in the semi-finals, barring multiple upsets from either Rutgers or Nebraska.

If the Hoosiers play Maryland:

The Hoosiers had an eight point lead at the half against Maryland at the Xfinity Center in College Park before succumbing to a three point loss. To win this contest, Romeo Langford needs to have a spectacular game like the one he had last time against Maryland in which he scored 28 points on 8-for-14 shooting, making all nine attempts at the line.

Indiana would also have to contain Bruno Fernando who tore up the Hoosiers with 25 points on an almost perfect 11-for-12 from the field performance along with 13 rebounds. Indiana would have to make sure that Fernando is unable to crash the offensive boards like last time, finishing with five.

Anthony Cowan Jr. and Jalen Smith both need to be locked up after being named to the Big Ten second team as well as All Big Ten Freshman team for Smith.

If the Hoosiers play Wisconsin:

The Hoosiers faced off against Wisconsin at Assembly Hall two weeks ago. The Hoosiers pulled out a 75-73 thriller in double overtime.

The Hoosiers made Ethan Happ have a tough time all game making 9-of-18 from the field as well as only making half of his 10 free throw attempts. They also honed in on Brad Davison and D’Mitrik Trice who combined for a 3-for-21 performance.

In this contest, Juwan had an off game after fouling out and only making 3-of-12 baskets. Look for him and Romeo to get going and then facilitate when multiple defenders are brought to help.

The team has to set the pace as Wisconsin likes to play slow and it would be detrimental to the Hoosiers to go down early and have to comeback against a team like Wisconsin.
