Professional Golfer Jeff Overton Ejected During Indiana vs. Louisville
By Jessica Hunt
Jeff Overton, a 2005 Indiana graduate, is a notorious competitor (think 2010 Ryder Cup eagle shot) and a notorious Hoosier fan (Overton golfed the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open clad in the iconic Hoosier candy stripe warm-up pants the day of the #3 Indiana vs #1 Michigan showdown). It appears Overton was a tad too competitive at Madison Square Garden as he was escorted out of the arena Tuesday during the Indiana-Louisville game, per Peegs.com reporter Jeff Rabjohns. Rabjohn’s tweet read, “Golfer Jeff Overton was just walked out of the Garden by security. Not sure what happened there.”
Overton responded afterwards on twitter, indicating an issue with the officiating.
Overton was arrested in Bloomington after the Indiana-Kentucky game in 2011 for disorderly conduct and public intoxication for yelling at people from the passenger seat of a limo and refusing to cooperate with police once the limo had been pulled over. Overton is currently ranked No. 286 in the world.
