The withdrawal deadline for the 2026 NBA Draft has come and gone, and several big names in the Big Ten chose to forgot the draft and return to their respective teams for the 2026-27 season. Those returns make life in the Big Ten more difficult for Darian DeVries and Indiana.
The 2026 NBA Draft is quickly approaching, as the festivities are set to begin on Tuesday, June 23. Indiana is considered a long shot to have any players selected in the draft, but a pair of Hoosiers are garnering some buzz.
Two Hoosiers land on ESPN's list of top-100 NBA Draft prospects
On Monday, ESPN released it's latest list of the top-100 NBA Draft prospects. Two Hoosiers have made the list, and interestingly enough, they are positioned right next to each other. Here's where they stand.
No. 86: Lamar Wilkerson
Hoosier guard Lamar Wilkerson was one of the top scorers in the country this past season. After transferring to Indiana following three seasons at Sam Houston State, Wilkerson paced the Hoosiers and ranked 2nd in the Big Ten by scoring 20.9 points per game in 2025-26.
Anger grows as Indiana’s marquee non-conference games are moved away from home
He stepped up in a big way against conference opponents, scoring 23.2 points per game in Big Ten play. His performance in Big Ten games led to the 6'6" senior setting an Indiana program record with 464 total points against Big Ten competition. Furthermore, his 70 three-pointers in Big Ten play were also a program record.
No. 87: Tucker DeVries
Forward Tucker DeVries was Indiana's second-leading scorer behind Wilkerson. DeVries averaged 13.7 points per game while also leading the Hoosiers with 5.3 rebounds per game. He was also tied for the team lead with 3.3 assists per contest.
DeVries scored 15 or more points in 14 different games, and he brought down five or more rebounds in 18 different games. Furthermore, his three double-doubles on the season were a team-high.
Wilkerson and DeVries keeping pro hoops dreams alive
Both Wilkerson and DeVries have been working out for NBA teams over the past few weeks, and both attended the G League Combine from May 8-10.
With Wilkerson coming in at No. 86 and DeVries at No. 87 on the list, it seems that ESPN is not expecting either to be selected when the NBA Draft rolls around in a few weeks. There are 60 total selections in the draft, so barring any wild unforeseen cirumstances, it would be rather surprising to see Wilkerson and/or DeVries selected.
If they do go unselected in the draft, Wilkerson and DeVries will undoubtedly be names to watch when it comes to G League signings and professional contracts overseas.
