As NFL teams around the league set their initial 53-man rosters for the 2025-26 season, roster cuts were finalized on Tuesday.

NFL teams had until 4 p.m. ET, (today) Tuesday to reduce their 90-player preseason rosters to 53-man active rosters for the regular season.

Several former Indiana football players have been competing for roster spots for the last month but their journey came to an end or at least a pause for now until further notice.

Here were the former Hoosiers that were waived:

The other players that were waived will be subject to being claimed by other teams until 11 a.m. Wednesday, at which time they will become free agents if unclaimed.

Players who were released by teams will also be candidates to land on practice squads as NFL teams begin building their 16-man practice squads over the next several days.

In all, CBS reports there were 1,184 players released in fall camp, including the following former Indiana players who will be watching their phones on Wednesday with hopes of getting a call to be claimed by another team, or being re-signed to their team’s practice squad.
