The Utah Jazz have waived former first round pick and Indiana Hoosier Jalen Hood-Schifino per Utah Jazz team site.
Hood-Schifino, was acquired by the Jazz via trade on Feb. 3rd. If he clears waivers the Jazz will carry a $3.88MM dead-money cap hit for Hood-Schifino and he will become an unrestricted free agent in a few days, that according to Hoops Rumors

As a freshman at Indiana, Hood-Schifino averaged 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 41 percent from the field in his only season as a Hoosier.
Jalen Hood-Schifino was the 17th overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. The former first rounder played most of his rookie year in the G-League for the South Bay Lakers. Hood-Schifino averaged 22.0 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the field.
Hood-Schifino struggled to see action this 2024-25 season and has appeared in just 25 games averaging 1.7 points, 0.6 points, and 0.4 assists in 5.3 minutes per game with Los Angeles. JHS did not suit up for the Utah Jazz in the week he was an official member of the team.
