There's less than one month left in the 2023-24; it is time for teams in the Big Ten to look toward the conference tournament and the NCAA Tournament. Last season, seven teams from the conference received invitations, including Iowa, who received the automatic bid after winning the tournament.

Regular season champion Indiana was a number one seed in last season's Greenville regional, while Iowa was a two seed in the Seattle regional. All signs point to Ohio State, Iowa, or both receiving one seed in the tournament. They must compete with Stanford, UConn, USC, South Carolina, and LSU for number one seeds.

First, however, the Big Ten must crown a regular season and tournament champion.

When is the Big Ten Tournament?

The Big Ten Tournament begins on March 6 and runs through the 10th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Seeding is essential in the tournament because the top six seeds have a bye until the second round. The bottom four teams play in the first round.

The fifth and sixth seeds play the first-round winners. The seven and ten seeds and the eight and nine seeds play on day two. The top four seeds don't play until day three. Iowa, Indiana, and Ohio State are looking to lock up the top three seeds in the tournament, while Nebraska and Michigan State are looking to procure the fourth seed.

What about March Madness?

March Madness begins with Selection Sunday on March 17th at 8 pm on ESPN. After the field of 68 is set (Women's March Madness expanded to 68 teams in 2021), the First Four plays on March 20-21. The first round of the tournament begins March 22nd and runs through April 7th. The Final Four will be at First Rate Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
