Way Too Early Big Ten Quarterback Rankings
By Dante Pryor
11. Ethan Garbers: UCLA
Ethan Garbers is an interesting quarterback. When he came into the LA Bowl, many people (including me) thought that Boise was going to run away with the game. However, Garbers was composed and took the helm of the offense, leading the Bruins to a win. His position on this list might say more about the state of the program than his ability as a player. However, Garbers could be the steady hand that helps first-time head coach DeShaun Foster navigate his first year as a head coach.
10. Aidan Chiles
This is the "all the potential in the world with no proof of concept" part of the list. Oregon State transfer Aidan Chiles followed his head coach from Corvallis to Lansing when Jonathan Smith took the Michigan State job. Chiles is the sixth highest-rated recruit in school history. Only Derek Anderson was a higher-rated quarterback. Despite the potential and the flashes, it's hard to say how good Chiles will be next year. A lot of that has to do with not knowing how good Michigan State will be.
