So you want to go to the Big Ten Tournament? Here's how much it's going to cost.

No Individual Game Tickets Here
First, good luck even trying to by an individual game ticket. Most proper outlets are selling session tickets. In other words, if you want to see your favorite team play, be prepared to stay for a few hours and watch multiple basketball games.
There are seven sessions to pick from in the tournament. If your favorite team is playing early, maybe there's an opportunity they advance. However, if they don't and you buy those tickets, you'll be watching someone else's favorite team or trying to sell tickets at the last minute.
How Much Basketball Do You Want to Watch?
You can purchase single-session or full-session tickets. If you want to watch the entire tournament, be prepared to spend some money. Stubhub.com charges anywhere from 250 to 950 dollars per full-session ticket.
In addition, individual session ticket prices vary depending on the session you attend. AXS.com, the Target Center's vendor, sells opening session tickets for about 35 dollars, while championship game session tickets start at over 100 dollars.
...Of Course There's VIP
If you want to watch in style -- and have the money -- the VIP package is the way to go. Like other tickets, prices vary depending on which session you want to attend. Currently, there are no VIP packages to participate in every session. If you go VIP, splurge, spend the extra money on the hospitality package, and eat the best food the arena offers.
Don't Forget Parking...
For an event like this, taking an Uber, Lyft, Public Transportation, or a Taxi might be the best route, depending on where you are coming from. You don't have to deal with traffic and paying for parking. That said, parking is fairly reasonable, depending on how far you are willing to walk. The Target Center website suggests spothero.com to find and reserve parking. Make sure you reserver early; parking goes quickly.
