Indiana Women's Basketball head coach Teri Moren has landed her first transfer commitment. Former Tennessee Lady Vols forward Karoline Striplin joins the Hoosiers for her final year of eligibility. Striplin played in 91 games (33 starts), averaging 7.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in her Tennessee career.

Moren is familiar with Striplin; Indiana played Tennessee at the Fort Myer's Tip-Off Classic in November. She had 13 points and three rebounds in that game.

"Karoline is a tough post player who can score inside and out while also establishing herself as a great post defender," Indiana head coach Teri Moren said in the release. "She is a player who we've faced a couple of times and have been familiar with since high school, so we know her skill set and work ethic will be the perfect fit for us."

There is a relationship between Striplin and Indiana. The Hoosiers recruited her out of high school before she committed to Tennessee.

How Striplin Fits

Indiana returns three starters from last season's Sweet-16 team. However, they lose two of the best players from last year's team in Mackenzie Holmes and Sara Scalia. Striplin's addition leaves three more scholarships for the Hoosiers.

The Alabama native gives Indiana size it lost with Holmes off to the WNBA. She'll likely compete with Lily Meister and former Ohio Valley Freshman of the Year Sharnecce Currie-Jelks who's coming back from injury.
