Michael Penix: Quarterback

Before Penix's departure from Bloomington, it was a legitimate question as to whether or not Indiana allowed the right quarterback to transfer. Peyton Ramsey was exceptional, taking over for Penix. In addition, he succumbed to another season-ending injury. Penix got hurt again, and Ramsey led Northwestern to a bowl game.

It was what Penix did after transferring to Washington that hurt the most. Penix reunited with Kalen DeBoer, the offensive coordinator at Indiana, and it felt so good. The Alabama native became a Heisman Trophy contender and played for a National Championship.

That is why it isn't hard to think what might have been hadn't Penix got hurt, DeBoer left, or a combination of both.
