Julianna LaMendola = FILL IN THE CRACKS
LaMendola could be due for a massive role promotion next season once Parrish, Moore-McNeil and Garzon are no longer around. However, Jules will need to continue doing the little things around them (playing scrappy defense, crashing the boards, taking charges, HOPEFULLY improving as a catch and shoot threat) while that trifecta is still in town for the season to come.
Sharnecce Currie-Jelks = MAKE YOUR BABY PROUD
Need a reason to shed a tear? Take a moment to contemplate years down the road when Sharnecce Currie-Jelks's infant child is smiling/clapping at the TV screen while rewatching some of momma bear's highlights from the 2024-2025 season.
Henna Sandvik = STAY READY
Similar to LaMendola (albeit to a lesser extent), 2025-2026 seems like a more rationale expectation for any significant steps forward from Henna Sandvik. Regardless, the native of Finland must ALWAYS stay war ready. You never know what is going to happen once you step foot on the battlefield, and any one solider could prove to be the difference in the final outcome. Sandvik must bare these sentiments in mind as she continues to develop her game and support her teammates.
Sydney Fenn = YOUR TIME WILL COME
Losing 1 player should not feel crazily critical, yet we are nearly 5 months after the matter and Hoosier fans everywhere are still bandaging the bruises that stemmed from Mackenzie Holmes's departure (arrival?). That being said, this frontcourt rotation grew a lot in the depth department over the course of the offseason. In fact, there are so many viable candidates for minutes at the big positions that there is inevitably going to be an odd woman out or 2.
Sydney Fenn is almost assuredly going to be one of those primary court-time casualties, but the true freshman has plenty of time in her future to show Hoosier Nation what she can do when she is on the floor consistently.
