1. Quinn Ewers, Texas Longhorns

Quinn Ewers has been the chosen one since 2019 when he burst on the scene as a top recruit even skipping his senior season of high school to enroll in the 2021 class with Caleb Williams. Fast forward to 2024, Ewers has handled adversity like a pro, carried himself like a pro and most importantly played like a pro. Although Ewers has missed the last 2.5 games due to an abdomen strain, Ewers has thrown for 691 yards and eight touchdowns to two interceptions. A former NFL scout told me this off-season that Ewers NFL comparison is Aaron Rodgers if he can put it all together and stay healthy.

2. Cam Ward, Miami Hurricanes

Cam Ward is the consensus "QB1" for most heading into week 7 of the season and I can clearly see why everyone including myself are so high on the Hurricanes quarterback. He recently led Miami over Cal with two touchdown completing 35 of 53 passes for 437 yards and also scored on a 24-yard run to overcome a 21 point deficit.

3. Shedeur Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes

Shedeur Sanders is the most polorazing talent at the quarterback position in the 2025 NFL Draft and arguably in the past decade. The son of NFL hall of famer Deion "Primetime" Sanders has done an amazing job in his four years at Jackson State and Colorado and is looking to the first QB taken off the board in April. Sanders NFL comparison is Seahawks Geno Smith.

4. Jalen Milroe, Alabama Crimson Tide

Milroe is the true definition of a dual-threat quarterback in the modern era and reminds me of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts when you look at his game. Multiple NFL personnel staffers said they believe an NFL teams could take a shot on Milroe as early as the first round of the 2025 draft if he continues to play like he has through the Crimson Tide's first five games. Milroe under Kalen DeBoer will continue to thrive as a passer as the season goes on.

5. Carson Beck, Georgia Bulldogs

Carson Beck has a first round grade from me and seperates the Allar tier from the top tier of quarterbacks which includes Beck, Ewers, Milroe and Sanders. Through five games of the college football season, Beck's draft stock is falling, mainly after the Alabama performance in the first half. Beck is still projected as a first round pick but not No. 1 overall. Beck has high IQ, good size, character, arm talent and experience that reminds me of Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff.

6. Drew Allar, Penn State Nittany Lions

Drew Allar has ben impressive all season and is really coming into his own. At 20 years old Allar is the youngest quarterback on this list and the most impressive physically standing at 6 foot 4, 236 pounds. Upside, upside, upside folks, that's the key with Allar heading into the next level. The most improtant thing in Allar's game has been his completion rate, which has jumped from 59.9 percent to 70.8 percent this season. Allar reminds me of Blake Bortles and a sprinkle of Josh Allen, high risk high reward.

7. Kurtis Rourke, Indiana Hoosiers

Kurtis Rourke has been the biggest riser this season in the 2025 NFL Draft QB discussion. Before the season started the Ohio Bobcat transfer was a fringe camp arm probably looked at as a 7th round pick or UDFA, now he has worked his way into the 2nd round discussion with Dart, Nussemeier and Allar. Rourke has now completed nearly 73.7 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,752 yards, 14 touchdowns and two interceptions.

8. Garrett Nussmeier, LSU Tigers

Nussmeier has showcased an ability to throw with anticipation, throw on the move and control the line of scrimmage for LSU and is a high riser in the 2025 class. Nussmeier takes on Ole Miss and Jaxson Dart this weekend in a huge home game to decide the fate of their season. "Nuss" has 23 completions of 20+ yards, which places him 5th nationally and is top 10 in the nation in QBR and passing yards.

9. Jaxson Dart, Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has the athletic abiltiy, size, arm strength, and arm talent to make it at the next level sitting at 6 foot 2, 220 pounds. Dart and Ole Miss defeated South Carolina 27-3, Dart completed 14 of 27 passes for 285 yards, rushing 8 times for 44 yards.

10. Miller Moss, USC Trojans

Moss, who topped the 300-yard mark twice in the first four games, went 23 for 38 for 200 yards, two interceptions and one touchdown against un unranked Minnesota. Moss has a limited ceiling as a passer and athlete at the next level and compares to Cody Kessler at the next level with a third-fourth round projection.
