"The Journey" featured on the Big Ten Network profiles first-year Indiana Hoosier football head coach Curt Cignetti.

The first-year Indiana coach has the Hoosiers (5-0) off to their best start since 1967.

In his five seasons prior to coming to Indiana, Cignetti coached at JMU where he had a 52-9 record, including a 31-4 run in conference play. He led James Madison to an 11-1 season in 2023-24, peaking at No. 18 in the AP top-25 poll.

Previously before his journey as a head coach Cignetti was the quarterbacks and tight ends coach, as well as the recruiting coordinator at NC State from 2000-06. Cignetti was also the Alabama wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator from 2007-10 winning a national championship in 2009.

In 14 seasons as a head coach, Cignetti is 124-35 (.780).  He’s never had a losing season as head coach of a program.

Another win would make Indiana 6-0 for just the second time (1967), the historic run will continue on against Northwestern on the road this Saturday at 3:30pm ET.
