For as long as we can recall, the athletics department at Indiana University has been renowned exclusively for the historical successes of it's men's basketball program. However, it was clear from the moment that new alpha Curt Cignetti came on board that the mission was to change that narrative.

Through the team's first 2 dominant victories, there was clear evidence that the IU football program was riding a major wave of momentum. And after walloping the Bruins of UCLA at the iconic Rose Bowl venue in California, the national media had no choice but to recognize the Hoosiers as one of the NCAA's top football teams for the first time in over 3 years.

If you were still not convinced of this team's rapid reclamation following those initial trio of tests, then the squad's 4th consecutive blowout should have done the trick in cementing your persuasion.

The Charlotte 49ers came into Bloomington with hopes that they would come away with a big time upset, but instead became the Hoosiers' latest victim of absolute annihilation. It took IU's defense a little while to find it's groove in the first half, but the resistance still wound up allowing a mere 256 yards of total offense on the day (compared to the cream and crimson's 510).

Kurtis Rourke continued his ongoing campaign as one of the B1G's best (and most underrated) gun slingers, while the rushing attack again validated itself as arguably the best in the entire conference (5 different rushers scored touchdowns while the depth chart combined for 222 yards on the ground).

Whether or not the weekly AP polls don the Hoosiers as a Top 25 NCAA team this week remains to be seen, but there is no questioning the fact that this gridiron gang is 110% here and ready to rumble with any opponent they are lined up against.

Keep going, Hoosiers!
