It has been a solid season for the Indiana University women's basketball team heading into their matchup with Maryland (streaming on Peacock at 3 P.M. EST). Unfortunately for the Indiana faithful, the same cannot be said about the men's team.

While the ladies have done their best to pick up the slack for the gentlemen, there is only so much that they can do to keep this entire program afloat. The two squads compete for the same school, yet they have clearly both been heading in opposite trajectories since the start of the season. It has not been a perfect campaign for the women by any means, but in comparison to the output for the boys they have looked like a juggernaut.

With the men also traveling to College Park tomorrow to take on the Terrapins (streaming on CBS at 2 P.M. EST), wouldn't it be nice (no beach boys) if both parties could return to B-Town with a victory? This is the final game of the season for Teri Moren's Hoosiers, who are riding a two-game winning streak into this one with one of those coming over the NCAA's all-time leading scorer Caitlin Clark and Iowa. Needless to say, they should be motivated to earn a dub in the final regular season game in the careers of Mackenzie Holmes, Sydney Parrish, Sara Scalia, and Chloe Moore-McNeil.

IUMBB is also riding some momentum following an impressive home win over Wisconsin a few days back. Kel'el Ware looked like a legitimate NBA center in that contest, and Mike Woodson's team was able to (temporarily) halt an ongoing skid.

We will keep our fingers crossed that Indiana University basketball tallies two wins on the chalkboard tomorrow. Go Hoosiers!
