Big Ten Power Rankings: Can the Hoosiers make a run in the stretch run of the season?

Indiana showed grit, toughness, and resilience in their comeback win against Ohio State. Is that enough to propel the Hoosiers to significant wins down the stretch?

Indiana had a great comeback victory against Ohio State 76-73 on Tuesday night. What does the win mean for the Hoosiers? It could be that type of win that is the catalyst for a late-season run. It could also be deeply concerning that Indiana struggled to beat one of the bottom-feeders of the Big Ten. Time will tell what the win means.

What is true about the Hoosiers is they need every bit of moxy and toughness when they travel about 100 miles up I-65 to West Lafayette for their rematch against #2 Purdue. They split with the Boilermakers last year, but this Purdue team has a laser focus on getting to the Final Four.

Here are your Big Ten Power Rankings heading into the second weekend in February.

14.Michigan Wolverines 8-15 (3-9)

Juwan Howard and the Wolverines might not have salvaged his job or their season, but they did avoid another second half collapse, holding on to beat the Wisconsin Badgers 72-68. Maybe the Wolverines play better the rest of the way. If not, at least Michigan showed signs of life. The win stopped a five-game losing streak. Hopefully, they will avoid another long losing streak.

13. Ohio State Buckeyes 13-10 (3-9)

The Wolverines are not the only team that has struggled with second-half collapses. The Ohio State Buckeyes have had their share of tough luck this season. Their two losses against the Hoosiers are by a combined nine points. They also fell short against Iowa. Even their double-digit losses were games that got away from them. Ohio State's issue is their lack of a go-to scorer. It shows up anytime they have an opportunity to win.
