Indiana continues to get no love for early 2025 rankings, even after their best season in program history.

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti should have a lot of bulletin board material to motivate his team for the 2025 season with the way everyone is treating the Hoosiers. After a magical season in which the Hoosiers finished 11-2, 11-1 in the regular season, and had their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance, the Hoosiers continue to get disrespected.

On3's Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman released their Way-Too-Early Top 25 for the 2025 football season just before the National Championship between Notre Dame and Ohio State tonight and Indiana fans should take notice.

Staples and Wasserman have the Hoosier ranked No. 23 in their rankings. Some fans might just be happy that Indiana is ranked because, usually, they never are in these types of rankings, others are probably wondering what more Indiana has to do.

Indiana had a better season than Illinois and will have brought in better players through recruiting and the transfer portal, yet the Fighting Illini are ranked No. 7. Michigan was just barely bowl-eligible and beat an Alabama team that could seem like they couldn't care less in their bowl game. The Wolverines certainly don't have the firepower that the Hoosiers will have in 2025.

If there is anything that Cignetti has proven throughout his whole head coaching career, especially in his first year at Indiana, it's that he wins with whoever is on the field. Whether it is the highest-rated five-star quarterback or a bunch of one or two-star athletes on the field, Cignetti knows how to fire up a team and make them elite.

All that can be said is that the Hoosiers have all the motivation they need to be even more dominant in 2025 than they were in 2024.
