Old Dominion transfer QB Grant Wilson transfers to Indiana Hoosiers football program

Indiana has landed a commitment from former Old Dominion quarterback Grant Wilson to add depth at QB position

Senior quarterback Grant Wilson announced his transfer to Indiana from Old Dominion first reported by On3 as the Indiana Hoosiers strike again in the transfer portal.

Indiana has added experienced depth at the quarterback position as Grant Wilson will be in a deep quarterback room with Tyler Cherry, Alberto Mendoza, walk-on Maverick Geske and projected starter Fernando Mendoza.

Previously at ODU, Wilson started 11 games in the Sun Belt for Old Dominion in 2023 and threw for 2,149 yards with 17 touchdowns and an additional four rushing touchdowns. Wilson returned to the Monarchs for the 2024 season but was injured after three starts and missed the remainder of the season.

Among qualified FBS quarterbacks in 2023, Wilson ranked 61st in Pro Football Focus' grade for offense (73.1) and 70th in passing grade (66.9)

Wilson a 6-foot-3, 215-pound also played limited action at Fordham.

The Arlington, Virginia native has one season of eligibility remaining.

Indiana offensive coordinator Mike Shanahan and Chandler Whitmer the Hoosiers quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator will be in good hands with these gunslingers under center.
