Former Indiana Hoosier and New York Knicks starting forward OG Anunoby dropped 32 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 assists in a 112-98 win over the Phoenix Suns, elimenating them from the playoffs officially.

Anunoby continues to develop into an offensive weapon for the Knicks down the stretch with 8 games straight with over 20 points but OG's defense is elite and you can make the argument he should be in the discussion for Defensive Player of The Year, Annunoby surely think he should win.

OG Anunoby believes he belongs in two conversations — All-Defensive Team and Defensive Player of the Year, “It’s pretty important to me,” Anunoby said of earning first team honors. It’s an effort thing. It’s about playing hard and helping teams win. That’s important.”

Anunoby earned his lone All-Defensive selection in 2023 when he made the second team for the Toronto Raptors.

The London native played at Indiana from 2015-2017, he was selected in the 1st round (23rd overall) in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Tornoto Raptors winning a NBA title in 2019.

Anunoby and the Knicks host the defending champion Boston Celtics on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m in their next matchup.
