Former NBA Hall of Fame point guard Isiah Thomas recently revealed on a podcast that he has been having some medical issues since this past year.
During an appearance on the 'Come and Talk 2 Me' podcast, Thomas revealed that he was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy.
Bell's palsy is a neurological condition that causes temporary paralysis of muscles in the face, often leading to drooping of the eyes and mouth on one side of the face.
Several other stars in the sports world have experienced Bell's palsy over the years, including Hall of Fame pro wrestling announcer Jim Ross, Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez and late Hall of Fame NBA guard "Pistol" Pete Maravich.
Philadelphia 76ers superstar center Joel Embiid dealt with the medical condition last season during the NBA Playoffs.
"Well, Isaiah’s sick. He’s going through something.” I haven’t really told anybody, but I’ve got Bell’s Palsy. That’s why you see me like this. I appreciate the prayers and love, but that’s what’s happening with my mouth right now. I just want everybody who’s going to be watching your show to know stated Thomas
