Indiana Hoosiers senior guard Anthony Leal is the heart and soul of the Indiana Hooisers men's basketball team with his toughness, grit and leadership on and off the court.
Leal set career highs in games played (21), scoring (2.4 points), rebounding (2.1), assists (1.1), minutes (14.7), shooting (44.4%) and 3-point shooting (47.4%) off the bench for the Hoosiers per IU Athletics
"I think Anthony is one of the best teammates I've ever played with," forward Luke Goode said. "He is put in tough positions all the time. Being in the lineup, out of the lineup, being called on last year and making big plays."
Anthony Leal a fifth year senior who spent all five year at Indiana and who is a native of Bloomington (IN) is also a three time Academic All-Big Ten Conference member.
We spoke to Leal about he and his best friend Trey Galloway's time at IU, his favorite pregame music and connection with JLab this off-season.

Hoosiers State of Mind: How important was it for you and Trey Galloway to come back to Indiana for a fifth year?
Anthony Leal: Trey and I knew we wanted to come back and finish what we set out to do as freshmen and that’s help IU get back to where it once was while setting the right example for the next generation of Hoosiers.

Anthony Leal: Phog Allen Fieldhouse against the Kansas Jayhawks
Hoosiers State of Mind: Who are your top five rappers ever?
Anthony Leal: In no order: J Cole, Drake, Lil Baby, Lil Wayne and Kendrick Lamar. Although I do enjoy country music more.
Hoosiers State of Mind: What is your favorite music to play during pre-game warmups?
Anthony Leal: Country or Christian music pregame.
Hooisers State of Mind: What are your biggest goals for the team and individually this season?
Anthony Leal: My goals are a big ten and national championship for IU and to enjoy the ride along the way
