Offensive lineman Kahlil Benson is transferring to Indiana after spending one season at Colorado

Former Colorado Buffaloes and Indiana Hoosiers offensive lineman Khalil Benson is transferring back to Bloomington after his lone 2024 season in Boulder at CU per 247Sports

In the 2022 and 2023 seasons the 6-foot-6 and 310-pound Benson appeared in 24 career games for Indiana, with 17 starts. He played a total of 1,423 offensive snaps – 774 in 2023 and 649 in 2022 – with the Hoosiers.

In an up-and-down regular season impacted by injury, Benson saw time at right guard, left guard and right tackle across 405 total offensive snaps. He started at right guard in Colorado’s first four games and played in nine total games.

The Indiana offensive line was the weakness of the team in their first year under Curt Cignetti. IU is returning left tackle Carter Smith, left guard Drew Evans and right guard Bray Lynch, they are all expected to return for the 2024 season.
