On Wednesday, the Biletnikoff Award selection committee added Indiana Hoosiers junior wide receiver Elijah Sarratt to its watch list, making him one of 62 players in the running for an individual honor singling out the nation's top FBS pass-catcher.

Indiana is third among 134 FBS programs with 47.5 points per game. The Hoosiers also rank sixth in total yards (515.7), 11th in passing yards (315.3).

Sarratt, who transferred to Indiana in January to follow head coach Curt Cignetti and his staff, was named first-team all-Sun Belt Conference after catching a team-high 82 passes for 1,191 yards and eight touchdowns as a sophomore in 2023.

This season the 6-foot-2 and 209-pound Sarratt has 513 yards, 2 touchdowns, 29 receptions in 5 games played.

The Biletnikoff Award recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver, regardless of position. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, split end, inside receiver, slot back or running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes the outstanding receiver, not merely the outstanding wide receiver.

The award recipient is selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of prominent college football journalists, commentators, and former receivers.
