Indiana Hoosiers women’s basketball is hosting 2026 small forward Gigi Battle for an official visit according to Brandon Clay of 247Sports

Battle will visit North Carolina State (Sept 4), Iowa (Sept 11) and Georgia (Sept 28) after visiting Bloomington.

The 6-foot, native of Edison, New Jersey, currently plays for DME Academy in Daytona Beach, Florida, where she ranks as No. 10 small forward and No. 5 prospect in the state of Florida for the 2026 class according to 247Sports

Battle, ESPN's No. 42 recruit in the 2026 class, is also considering Ohio State, Iowa, Stanford, Illinois, Georgia, and Rutgers.

Battle averaged 16.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game for DIME Academy (Daytona Beach, Florida). In those 32 games, she shot 43% from the field, 24% from 3-point territory, and 68% from the free-throw line, per MaxPreps.

Previously to transferring to DIME Academy, Battle played for Rutgers Prep in Somerset, New Jersey. During that 2022-2023 season, she averaged 9.9 points, 5.7 assists, and 1.5 rebounds in 30 games.

Indiana has become a destination for elite talent under head coach Teri Moren. The Indiana women's basketball team is going through a complete roster over haul after losing 10 players from last seasons roster.

Indiana did add five players in the transfer portal this offseason in: sophomore guard Chloe Spreen (Alabama), sophomore guard Phoenix Stotijn (Arkansas), senior guard Jerni Kiaku (Duquesne), sophomore forward Zania Socka-Ngueman (UCLA), and junior forward Edessa Noyan (Virginia).
