Indiana Women's basketball suffered a 30 point loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels, 69-39 in the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game at Imperial Arena in Nassau, Bahamas.

The Hoosiers struggled badly shooting the ball especially from behind the arc, shooting an abysmal 4 for 26 on the day from 3 point land. They also had 16 turnovers and only 7 assists in today's game. The 6-1 UNC Tar Heels shot 11 for 23 from the three point line and were able to control the paint with 23 more rebounds than the Hoosiers. UNC limited Indiana to only 13 total points in the second half, their lowest halftime score in two years.

“We just didn’t have the urgency we needed to today to get out and create any sort of resistance for them offensively, and so that’s disappointing,” Moren said postgame to Indiana Student Daily. “And then we couldn’t get anything really, no rhythm, offensively.”

We’ll have to get to Bloomington and start to figure out how we can move our pieces around and how we can put a five on the floor that can hopefully jell quicker than we’ve been able to,” Moren said. “I thought we made some improvements — we grew a little bit here in the Bahamas.”

UNC's Alyssa Ustby was named MVP of the Battle 4 Atlantis.

The Indiana Hoosiers returns to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday, Dec. 1 against Maine. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.
