Indiana WBB earn convincing victory over Nebraska Cornhuskers at home, 76-60

The Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball team 14-7 (6-4 in conference play) earned a victory over the Nebraska Cornhuskers 16-6 (7-4 in conference play) 76-60.

Indiana led by Yarden Garzon, controlled the ball game for 36 minutes of the 40 minute game. Garzon led all scorers with 19 points while Chloe Moore-McNeil added 15 points as the second leading scorer.

There are currently five Big Ten teams in the Top 25: No. 1 UCLA, No. 4 USC, No. 8 Ohio State, No. 14 Maryland and No. 16 Michigan State. Minnesota recently dropped from being no. 25 but is one of three Big Ten teams to receiver votes in the latest poll, with the others including Michigan and Nebraska who IU just defeated.

Indiana will likely receive a few votes in the next AP Top 25 WBB poll which will be dropped next week.

Indiana WBB will take on the Rutgers Scarlett Knights (9-13, 1-10 Big Ten) at home (Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall) in their next matchup on Feb. 6th at 6:00pm E.T The contest will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.

The Big Ten tournament is just around the corner with the top 15 teams will making it in and the top four seeds receiving double byes and the top nine seeds receiving first-round byes. The seeding will be based on the regular season final record, Indiana currently sits at No. 7.
