A rivalry that is one of the best in college basketball will hit the hardwood tonight as Indiana travels to take on No. 10 Purdue tonight. The Indiana-Purdue rivalry has taken place for over 100 years, dating back to 1901 when the Boilermakers dominated the beginning of the matchup, but once the Hoosiers got a hold of winning, they didn't let go for a while.

In today's day and age, Purdue, as of late, has dominated the matchup, including a stretch of nine wins from 2016 to 2021. The Hoosiers have especially hit a rough patch lately this season, losing four of their last five games, and are in desperate need of a big win over a big opponent. This game could be the one to get Indiana back on track, but they will need to do a long to stop a team that is 7-1 in their last eight games.

Indiana will need to focus more on their defense than offense tonight, as shots will fall when they may, but if the Hoosiers can't lock up the Boilermakers on defense, they are just going to continue this stretch of allowing over an average of 80 points per game to opponents when they only score barely 70 points a game on offense.
