Michigan offensive lineman Jeff Persi is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports on Wednesday morning and could be on the wishlist for Curt Cignetti and his Hoosiers staff.

Persi, a 6-foot-8, 310-pounder from San Juan Capistrano, California, appeared in 38 games in his career, including 14 in which he played on the offensive line with three starts at left tackle.

He enters the portal with one year of eligibility remaining.

Persi ended the season with a 51.1 grade from Pro Football Focus, with best performance coming against Minnesota with a (67.1) grade according to (PFF).

Persi was a four-star recruit in the 2020 recruiting class, ranking No. 312 in the 247Sports Composite and as the No. 24 offensive tackle. The California native from JSerra Catholic HS committed to Michigan over the likes of UCLA, Stanford, Tennessee, USC, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Ole Miss.

Starting center Mike Katic and starting right tackle Trey Wedig have ran out of collegiate eligibility but starters Carter Smith, Drew Evans and Bray Lynch are all set to return for 2025

Indiana offensive line coach Bob Bostad has also landed transfers in Khalil Benson from Colorado, Zen Michalski from Ohio State but adding Jeffrey Persi's size and experience would be cruical in Indiana's reload for the 2025 season.
