Simeon Caldwell a 6-foot-3, 190-pound safety and linebacker hybrid was offered by Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers this summer and his recruitment is starting to heat up as he is one of the fastest rising prospects in the 2026 class.

Caldwell from Jacksonville (FL) The Bolles School has several offers from schools like Indiana, Notre Dame, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Miami, Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Texas and Texas A&M among several others.

Caldwell is ranked as the No. 6 linebakcer in the class, No. 12 player in the state of Florida and 91st overall nationally per 247 Sports for the 2026 recruiting class.

College staffs seem split on where they see him playing at the next level.

“Some schools look at me as both,” Caldwell says. “Some schools are saying they can see me playing safety my first year or earlier in my career, and then moving to linebacker. Some schools see me as just a safety, especially if they play bigger safeties. And then some schools see me as just a straight linebacker.”

Simeon's father Mike Caldwell is the linebackers coach for the Las Vegas Raiders so he has been around football since birth and his life is all ball, he is known as a true leader of his program and was named a captain as a sophmore. That time of mentality and leadership to go along with his skill is what the Hoosiers need to have as they build up their 2026 class.

Despite the interest from multiple schools, Caldwell is in no rush to make a decision.

"There's no timeline," the talented linebacker explained. "This is a very big decision that will affect the rest of my life, so there's no rushing it. I'll know when I feel 100% comfortable with a school."
