According to a report by On3’s national recruiting analyst Joe Tipton, Sam Houston shooting guard Lamar Wilkerson plans to visit Indiana, along with Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Auburn.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Ashdown, Arkansas, averaged 20.5 points4.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. The junior also shot 47.7% from the field and 44.5% from three point range.
According to 247 Sports reporter Dushawn London, Indiana is the favorite to land the former Sam Houston State guard. Wilkerson is considered the best shooting guard transfer prospect available and easily one best major targets on Indiana's portal board cycle.
He started his college career at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and transferred to Sam Houston State in 2022.
Indiana and head coach Darian DeVries has landed three transfers in former Drake point guard Conor Enright, his son Tucker DeVries (West Virginia) and power forward Reed Bailey from Davidson.
Indiana recently lost out of the recruiting battle for Miami Hurricanes guard Nijel Pack. Pack transferred to Oklahoma according to On3’s Joe Tipton.
Lamar Wilkerson has one season of eligibility remaining left in his college career.
