Indiana men’s basketball their eight seniors on the current roster and head coach Mike Woodson went out with a bang on Saturday night with a 66-60 win in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, over the Ohio State Buckeyes.
The win has all but secured the Hoosiers a first-round bye in the Big Ten Tournament and should be the final checkmark on its NCAA Tournament resume to make the big dance come selection sunday.
Indiana (19-12, 10-10 Big Ten) finishes the regular season in ninth place in the Big Ten conference and will have a first-round bye in the conference tournament. Ohio State (17-14, 9-11 Big Ten) fell to 10th place and will have to play on Wednesday, the first day of the tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ohio State led for over 30 minutes of the ball game but senior Trey Galloway and Malik Reneau scored 16 points each for the Hoosiers to erase a 10-point second-half deficit.
"Maybe I'm leaving too soon, I don't know," Woodson told CBS in a postgame interview. "This brings back old memories. My last game on this floor was against Ohio State for the Big Ten title back in 1980.
"We've had a lot of ups and downs this year. We have. But they are competitors. They keep competing. We've still got to go try to win the Big Ten tournament. That's what's next."
This entire Indiana season has been downright crazy. Could have been very easy for the whole thing to go downhill but those kids have fought and may have very well just punched their ticket to the big dance. Trey Galloway rose to the occasion today: 16 points, 6 assists.

“We've had a lot of highs and a lot of lows through our career,” Anthony Leal said postgame. “For Trey to continue working and doing what he does well and just being super reliable for our team has been really big, not just this year, but in previous years. I know when he does what he does well, our team plays a lot better.”
