Indiana (14-6, 5-4 Big Ten) fell to Northwestern (12-7, 3-5 Big Ten) on Wednesday night at Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston, Illinois.
Senior center Oumar Ballo had 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for IU while sophomore forward Mackenzie Mgbako had a bounce back game scoring 20 points total. Luke Goode and Myles Rice also added 14 and 11 points respectively.
Forward Malik Reneau, struggled in his first game since Jan. 2, went 0-of-6 from the field for 2 points and 3 rebounds.
The Hoosiers were up with a slight lead at the half but the Wildcats outscored Indiana 54-39 in the second half, led by Ty Berry with 23 points.
Northwestern also had major help from Brooks Barnhizer had 21 points and eight rebound, Jalen Leach also added 15 points all of which were in the second half.
