Indiana Hoosiers Women's Basketball advances to Battle 4 Atlantis Championship

Indiana guard Shay Ciezki lead the Hoosiers with 34 points in a 73-65 win over No. 18 Baylor Lady Bears to advance to the Battle 4 Atlantis championship title game on Monday.

With the upset over Baylor, Indiana will face the winner of the North Carolina Tar Heels and Villanova Wildcats game, who face off tonight. UNC is ranked No. 16 and the favorite to win over Villanova, Indiana would face UNC/Nova on Monday at Noon E.T

Indiana won the first quarter 27-18, shooting 8-of-14 (57.1%) from the field and 3-of-4 (75.0%) from 3-point range. Baylor stole the momentum in the second quarter going into halftime IU, closed out the 1st half with a 37-33 lead.

Sydney Parrish injured her leg in the first half and didn't return to the game, depsite Baylor scratching and clawing back, IU held their lead throughout the second half. Baylor cut the lead to five late but Indiana still fought over Baylor til the very end.

Ciezki went for a season-high 34 points against the Bears. She connected on nine of her 16 field goal attempts. She also went 4-of-5 from downtown and 12-13 from the free throw line.
