Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball senior guard Sydney Parrish will be out "for at least a couple of weeks" with the knee injury she suffered in the Battle 4 Atlantis, according to head coach Teri Moren.

In their first game without Parrish they lost by 30 points to the North Carolina Tar Heels in the Bahamas at the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

Bouncing back, the Hoosiers won 78-53 with a victory over Maine Sunday at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

Chloe Moore-McNeil and Lilly Meister took over the game with dominating performances at both ends of the floor.

Moore-McNeil finished with 22 points on 8-for-10 shooting, and added four rebounds along with four assists. Meister had 18 points and a team high in rebounds with 9 total.

“I think (it’s) not just me stamping my ticket and saying I need to do more offensively and defensively. It's going to take everybody to kind of try to fill Sydney’s shoes,” Moore-McNeil said.

The former Oregon transfer returned for a fifth season with hopes to win a national title at IU. Syd Parrish is averaging 9.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists this season. She was one of three returning starters the Hoosiers brought back from last year's team.

Indiana will be back in action on Wednesday evening against Southern Indiana in Assembly Hall. The contest will stream on Big Ten+.
