The newest college basketball rankings for week 5 have been released for the the 2024-25 season.
Indiana Hoosiers mens basketball has officially dropped out of the AP top 25 rankings this week as they left Battle 4 Atlantis with two losses.
Indiana is 5-2 overall this season, winning its first four games at home before a 1-2 showing in the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament last week., with losses to Louisville and Gonzaga. The only win was over Providence on Saturday, 89-73 in the Bahamas.
Here's what head coach Mike Woodson had to say about there trip to the Bahamas:
I think when you get your butt beat like we did for two games, you better be connected. I thought we were connected tonight. I still think defensively, we got to clean up some things, and we got to rebound the ball better. Those two areas are huge. Make no mistake about it,”Woodson said after Friday nights game.“We shot the ball well tonight offensively. But defensively, I still think we’re a little behind, especially these last three games that we’ve played.”
The NCAA released its first NET rankings on Monday and Indiana is ranked No. 71 in the first edition. These rankings are heavily considered in the tournament selection process.
Indiana (5-2) now travels back to Bloomington where it will host Sam Houston University Dec. 3 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall
