Indiana women's basketball has lost their third player from the 2024-25 roster today as Julianna LaMendola has entered the transfer portal according to reporting from Talia Goodman of On3 Sports.
She also announced the decision with a post on her Instagram account.
"I would like to thank coach Moren and her coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to play at Indiana University," LaMendola wrote. "To my teammates, thank you for all the memories we have created throughout the last two years. I am grateful for and will cherish the relationships cultivated throughout my time at Indiana. To the Hoosier fans, thank you for the consistent support throughout my time here."
"After much consideration, prayers, and support from my family, I have decided it is in my best interest to enter the transfer portal for my remaining years of eligibility."
Indiana also lost two seniors in Lilly Meister and Lexus Bargesser earlier today to the transfer portal as well.

The 6-1 sophomore averaged 2.3 ppg this season.

LaMendola just finished her second season with the Hoosiers program and will have two years of eligibility remaining entering her junior season in 2025-26.
LaMendola averaged 2.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 10.9 minutes per game off the bench while shooting 35.1% from behind the arc for Indiana this past season.
She played in 30 games for the Hoosiers making five starts replacing Sydney Parrish when she missed time with a knee injury. The Coppell, Texas native had a career-best performance in her final start with 10 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in a 95-61 win over Bellarmine.
The transfer portal will be open from March 24 to April 22 this year.
