Four-star safety and Jonesboro, Georgia native Cortez Redding has committed to Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes football program, as he revealed via social media on Friday afternoon.

The main target on Indiana's 2026 recruiting board chose the Hurricanes over Indiana, Ole Miss and North Carolina State. Before narrowing down his list, Redding held nearly 50 offers from college programs.

"I want a school that prepares me for life after football and teaches me about manhood, my future with a wife, kids and things like that. Those are the main four things I look for in a school.” Redding previously told On3 Sports.

"“Coach Cristobal—that’s my guy. He’s fun to be around, a lot of laughs, and his vision for the new Miami is real. He’s fixing to get Miami back to the old Miami.”"
