Indiana head football coach Curt Cignetti was interviewed by Pete Yonkman of The Players’s Perspective podcast during the bye week which is presented by Hoosiers Connect NIL collective, the official NIL collective of Indiana athletics.

In this episode, Coach Cignetti shared his insights on the journey and challenges of coaching at the highest level, his strategies for building a winning team culture in Bloomington, and his personal experiences and stories from the field.

At 6-0, Indiana has matched the program's best start since 1967 and also climbed to No. 16 in the latest AP Top 25, the Hoosiers just one of 10 remaining unbeatens in the rankings.

On of the biggest quotes that stood out to be on the podcast was when Cignetti said:

“I like it here a lot (at Indiana) and I really like (AD) Scott Dolson and (President) Pam Whitten a lot. As long as we’re committed to being the best we can be? I have everything I need,” Cignetti said. “Now I also know how quickly things can change. You’re on top of the mountain one day and at the bottom the next. I’m not naïve. I have to stay humble and hungry.”

They were the first to earn bowl eligibility two weeks ago with their road-win at Northwestern, and they host Big Ten opponent Nebraska Saturday at noon in a showcase game on FOX.

Indiana's schedule gets more difficult from here on out. After the Hoosiers host Nebraska they take on Washington and will also face No. 24 Michigan and No. 4 Ohio State in November.
