Freshman forward Bryson Tucker has entered the NCAA transfer portal after one season with the Hoosiers, according to On3’s Joe Tipton.

The 6-foot-7, 200-pounder averaged 5.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 16 minutes per game in his lone season at IU in 2024-25 under Mike Woodson. Tucker shot 37.8% (48-of-127) from the floor overall, including 15% from three.
Tucker, a former McDonald’s All-American is originally from Baltimore, and he began his high school career at Mount Saint Joseph. However, he transferred to Florida powerhouse program IMG Academy in Bradenton before his junior season.
Tucker was ranked as a five-star prospect by multiple recruiting services and finished as the No. 20 recruit nationally in the class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking
247Sports had Bryson Tucker ranked as the No. 28 overall prospect and a four-star.
The Bowie, Maryland native had major offers coming out of the 2024 class from Kansas, Michigan State, Duke, Michigan State, Florida, Miami, LSU and others.
He is the seventh Indiana Hoosier player to enter the transfer portal this off-season, joining Gabe Cupps, Malik Reneau, Mackenzie Mgbako, Jakai Newton and Myles Rice.
Tucker has three seasons of eligibility remaining in his college career.
The portal opened at the end of the Hoosiers' season with Mike Woodson stepping down. The window to enter closes April 22.
Darian DeVries will have his work cut out to fill out the IU roster for the 2025-26 season.
