Lakota East High School (Ohio) three star tight end PJ MacFarlane, has been on Curt Cignetti and the Indiana Hoosiers football programs radar for months and after his visit to Bloomington, MacFarlane's stock is rising.

The Middletown, Ohio native, MacFarlane told 247Sports about his time on campus in Bloomington "Indiana is up there at the top," he said about his interest in the Hoosiers. "I will definitely be taking an official visit to Indiana University. I'm excited to get back for an official."

PJ MacFarlane has offers from Indiana, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Northwestern, Rutgers, Washington, Duke, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Virginia, Kent State, Liberty, Miami (OH), and Toledo.

As a junior last season, MacFarlane had 40 receptions for 586 yards and eight touchdowns.

The 6-foot-5, 215-pound tight end, MacFarlane is ranked the 27th best prospect in Ohio, 827th overall in the nation and the number 43 tight end in the country according to the 247Sports rankings.

After losing Zach Horton last season the tight end position on the depth chart is thin. Indiana brings sixth year senior Holden Staes a transfer from Tennessee, Riley Nowakowski a sixth year senior transfer from Wisconsin and James Bomba who is also listed as a senior. The 2026 class will be instrumental to landing a tight end for the Hoosiers future teams.
