Hoosier fans are mad, and they are letting everyone know. Indiana fell in embarrassing fashion against No. 19 Illinois for the second straight game. The Hoosiers are able to win games when it is a lesser opponent, but when it comes to these Quad 1 opponents, Indiana seems lost.
Indiana head coach Mike Woodson should start to feel his seating warming up as fans are done with him in Bloomington. During the first half of yesterday's matchup against No. 19 Illinois, when the Hoosiers were down by more than 20 points already, "Fire Woodson" chants broke out in Assembly Hall.
Not only did fans let their feelings out during the game, but they also took to social media to let everyone know just how much they wanted Woodson gone.
Indiana trails Illinois 60-32 at the half. Students are leaving. And booing. The players look happy to collect an NIL check and hit the bars after the game. Mike Woodson looks -- well -- like Mike Woodson ... completely clueless.

This is a game Indiana traditionally wins. After…
It all starts with culture and it doesn't seem like Woodson is building much of one.

Never seen anything truer. It is great that Indiana can beat the teams they should, but when they can't win in the big games, this is where you end up.
“FIRE WOODSON”

Indiana fans not happy with Mike Woodson. They’re losing to Illinois by 23 in the first half. Ivisic and Jakucionis looking good #illini coasting pic.twitter.com/cxjR4DTSWL
This should be all the university has to see in order to decide whether or not they keep Woodson around. If the fans are turning their back, then it is time because they are needed to help rally a team.
Can anyone come up with one good reason why #iubb should not fire Mike Woodson before he leaves the arena tonight? He has made an embarrassment of something that so many of us care so much about.

We are listening, and so far, we haven't heard any good reasons for keeping him around.
There are a host of “red flags” that will appear in the eventual Mike Woodson coaching autopsy. One that stands out as particularly alarming….

Indiana went 0-31 on Top-100 HS guard offers after signing Jalen Hood-Schifino.
Recruiting is just a big of the job as coaching on the court, if you can't bring in top players, then you aren't going to be able to compete.
Mike Woodson doesn’t deserve a soft landing. His egotistical and stubborn ways are taking #iubb further and further from relevance. It is now time for a change to see if a different voice could get the most out of this team. This roster is far too talented to be losing this way.

There is a saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," well Indiana is broke, so it is time to fix it and it starts with showing Woodson the door.
I’ve literally grown up and raised on #iubb As of now, I am officially done with IU basketball until Mike Woodson is no longer the head basketball coach.

Basketball is like a religion in Indiana, and for fans not to watch because of Woodson means this team is at rock bottom right now, and they are only 13-5.
Pam, Scott and the Board of Trustees. How much more proof do you need. This is absolutely not Indiana Basketball. This program has not improved under Mike Woodson despite increased NIL. It’s time for Woody to go.

This hasn't looked like Indiana basketball for a while, and at this point, the university has to see that it isn't the players just not playing well, but it is the coaching not giving them what they need. They tried giving him more NIL money to use, and nothing has changed.
In fact, Woodson now owns 4 of Indiana's 10 worst losses in Assembly. https://t.co/DBYik2IFUc

The numbers don't lie, and Woodson has not brought Indiana to the heights that this team can go to. Indiana is a team known for winning when it comes to basketball, after their performance against Iowa and No. 19 Illinois, it is clear he can't do it in the big moments.
