The Indiana Hoosiers are patiently waiting for an apology from everyone in the college football world who did think they belonged in the College Football Playoff because of how they lost to Notre Dame. They are waiting for this apology because the Fighting Irish just beat the Georgia Bulldogs, the SEC Champion, by 13 points in the All-State Sugar Bowl.
There was no stopping Notre Dame in the second half as their defense just completely picked apart Georgia's and the Fighting Irish offense was able to make plays when they needed to most.
Indiana fans are taking note of all the big media analysts who came down so hard on the Hoosiers for their play against Notre Dame when, really, this Fighting Irish team is a force to be reckoned with and could go on to win it all.
So, with a big "I told you so in mind," Indiana fans took to X (formally known as Twitter) to air out their frustration.
Indiana football gave us a better game than this. SEC, got anything to say?

Indiana at least made it interesting in the end by getting an onside kick adn almost getting it a second time. With no timeouts and under two minutes, Georgia thought they could get away with short passes to the middle of the field down by 13 points.
I don’t know for sure @finebaum, but losing by 13 is worse than Indiana losing by 10 to Notre Dame! SEC is so overrated! Love seeing this happen. Big Ten now runs college football.

The numbers don't like Paul Finebaum.
So Indiana, which didn't belong in the College Football Playoff, only lost to Notre Dame by 10.

Georgia, which deserves a redo since it plays in the SEC and has a hard schedule, lost to Notre Dame by 13
This does not seem like logical thinking, 2+2 is not equal to 4 with this kind of logic.
So, Indiana only lost to Notre Dame by 10 while Georgia lost to Notre Dame by 13. By the rules laid out by the college football elitists, the B1G is better than the SEC top to bottom

Rules are rules and we are just following them.
@KirkHerbstreit I do enjoy your work. But Indiana football played ND closer in South Bend closer than Georgia did on a neutral field. You called IU football out and now you owe Indiana Football an apology. The ESPN pro-SEC narrative is stale and wrong. Own it like a man.

Kirk Herbstreit can't go a season without getting some sort of backlash for a comment he makes about the College Football Playoff. Last year it was Florida State and this season it is Indiana.
I want everyone who has ever bashed Indianas football program this year and the “embarrassing loss” to Notre Dame to apologize. Write a handwritten letter and apologize for being dumb. Indiana deserved to be in the playoff.

A nice fruit basket will also be accepted.
Indiana is officially vindicated.

They were a VERY good team that had an unbelievable season, they just got beat by two of the best teams in college football.
Time to move on and focus on next season. It’s already looking like it may be another great one.#NeverDaunted #IUFB
The only two teams that Indiana lost to this season were Ohio State and Notre Dame, half of the teams in the Semifinal of the College Football Playoff. So, really, Indiana was one of the top teams in the country and just played some of the toughest teams.
