Wilkerson who was ranked the No. 45 overall player in the portal by 247 Sports is catching the attention of the top college basketball experts in the preseason. Wilkerson was mentioned on a list byCBS Sports’ Isaac Trotter. Breaking down the “college basketball archetypes” into ten categories, Wilkerson was named a "dark horse" to crack the top five combo guards in the nation during the 2025-26 college basketball season.
The five players ahead of Wilkerson included Louisville’s Isaac McKneely (No. 5), BYU’s Richie Saunders (No. 4), Houston’s Emanuel Sharp (No. 3), UConn’s Solo Ball (No. 2), and Louisville's Ryan Conwell (No. 1).
Wilkerson will bring valuable experience, offensive versatility, and defensive toughness. His ability to play both guard spots and stretch the floor makes him a plug-and-play option for Indiana this season.
The senior guard will be joined by a whole new staff and roster including: Conor Enright (from DePaul), Tucker DeVries (from West Virginia), Reed Bailey (from Davidson), Jasai Miles (from North Florida), Tayton Conerway (from Troy), Jason Drake (from Drexel), Nick Dorn (from Elon), Sam Alexis (from Florida), Josh Harris (from North Florida) and Trent Sisley four-star recruit).
Indiana also added international prospects Aleksa Ristic (Serbia) and Andrej Acimovic from (Bosnia).
