The Indiana Hoosiers football program is ranked No. 2 in the most recent College Football Playoff Ranking. Indiana was recently ranked No. 2 by the Associated Press (AP) and Coaches Top 25 poll, holding a 10-0 record after their week 11 thrilling win over Penn State.

For clarity if the regular season ended today, Indiana would receive a first round bye, before taking on the winner of the matchup between the Texas versus Ole Miss. The winner of that game would travel to Bloomington in what would be the biggest sporting event in Indiana Hoosier history.

Indiana heads into their final regular season home game against the (3-6) Wisconsin Badgers. Kickoff between the Hoosiers and the Badgers is scheduled for noon Saturday. The game will be on Big Ten Network.

The final regular season game of the season will be against Purdue in a rivalry game. Indiana beat Purdue 66-0 last season.

In a new twist this season, the CFP will use a “straight seeding” model, placing teams on the same line in the bracket as their ranking, without regard to whether they won their conference championship, as was the case in the rollout of the expanded playoff last year.

A total of six Big Ten Conference teams are currently ranked in the top 25 of the CFP.
