Indiana All-American Linebacker Wins Terry Tallen Football Leadership Award

Aiden Fisher's athletic prowess is just one of many way he has led Indiana football to prominence. He was been true leader on and off the field and in the classroom for IU.

The 14th annual Terry Tallen Indiana Hoosier Football Leadership Scholarship has been awarded to Indiana junior inside linebacker Aiden Fisher.

Fisher has had an unbelievable first season at Indiana after transferring from James Madison. Fisher was named First Team All-American by the (FWAA) Football Writers Association of America, First Team All-Big Ten, Butkus Award Semi-Finalist, Capital One Orange Bowl and FWAA Courage Award Nominee.

Fisher led the Hoosiers with 108 total tackles, which ranked third in the Big Ten Conference. Fisher was projected as a third-fouth round pick in this upcoming 2025 NFL Draft but chose to return for his senior season at Indiana.

"I'm so pleased that under IU Athletic Director Scott Dolson's exceptional leadership the scholarship was awarded Aidan," said Tallen. "He's an excellent football player, a big advocate of teamwork and thoughtful, smart young man. He has a great heart and is a tough customer!"

He will likely be a pre-season All-American and named to every B1G conference team by publications as well when fall rolls around.

Created in 2008, the scholarship is awarded to deserving team members and has been given to five Hoosiers who are currently playing in the National Football League: All-AmericanDan Feeney, offensive guard, New York Jets;Wes Martin, offensive guard, Washington Football Team; Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, wide receiver, Tennessee Titans;Micah McFadden, left back, New York Giants;Cam Jones, linebacker for the Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs per PRWeb.com
