The on-field portion of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine began on Thursday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The NFL combine is one of the biggest events for general managers, coaches, and scouts to evaluate talent and shape up their draft boards. All 32 teams are repped in Indianapolis as players attempt to raise their draft stocks over the week event.

Indiana only had two players invited to the NFL Combine this year, quarterback Kurtis Rourke and defensive tackle CJ West were the representatives for the Hoosiers in Indy.

The former Indiana and Kent State product had a standout week in Frisco, Texas at the Shrine Bowl recently, and is building momentum heading into the NFL Draft, were he left scouts in awe with his physical traits.

West became just the ninth defensive tackle weighing 315 or more pounds to run a sub-5 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine since 2003.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah also compared CJ West's combine measurables to Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Here is how CJ West performed across the board:

Height: 6011
Weight: 316
Arm: 31 ½”
Hand: 9 ¾”

West also recorded a 33-inch vertical leap, his wingspan was 31.5 inches, and his hands were 9.75, all according to the NFL.

With two sacks, eight tackles for loss and 40 total tackles last year after transferring from Kent State. Before arriving at Indiana, West made 39 starts and was named third-team All-Mid-American Conference in 2023. West projects as more of an A-gap defender but could play the 3-technique in the right system as well.

The 2025 NFL Combine runs Thursday, February 27 – Sunday, March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind.

The 2025 NFL Draft runs April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin
