Former Indiana's Miss Basketball and Alabama transfer Chloe Spreen commits to Hoosiers WBB

Chloe Spreen could have a Sydney Parrish impact for Indiana over the next three years as she returns home to the Hoosier state

Indiana women’s basketball has signed former Alabama Crimson Tide guard Chloe Spreen, she was Indiana’s Miss Basketball winner in 2024 where she attended Bedford North Lawrence in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The 5-foot-10 guard, played in 20 games last season and averaged 1.2 points in 6.7 minutes. Spreen shot 26.9 percent from the field and 18.2 % from the three point range. Alabama went 24-6 overall and made it to the NCAA Tournament second round.  

As a senior at Bedford North Lawrence, Spreen averaged 20.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. She led Bedford to a 20-5 record and the state championship game in the 2023-24 season. She was rated a four-star recruit by ESPNW in the 2024 recruiting class.

Spreen has three seasons of eligibility remaining in her college career.

Head coach Teri Moren will need to completely overhaul her roster with Yarden Garzon, Lexus Bargesser, Henna Sandvik, Lilly Meister, Julianna LaMendola and Sharnecce Currie-Jelks all entering the transfer portal.

Indiana also lost graduate seniors Chloe Moore-McNeil, Sydney Parrish and Karoline Striplin.

She joins four-star Gatorade Player of The Year (Indiana) Maya Makalusky and Miss Missouri four-star recruit Nevaeh Caffey in the 2025-26 class.
